Scope
Background
The Rozelle Interchange connects multiple WestConnex motorways. Fire protection infrastructure needed to be pre-assembled to streamline installation and reduce tunnel access times.
Challenge
Each deluge array required specific assembly, coating, and packaging based on tunnel zoning. Coordination with multiple contractors and tight delivery schedules added complexity.
Solution
Antec Fire produced fully packaged deluge systems pre-labelled by zone. Emergency Equipment Cabinets were fabricated, assembled, and tested in-house before being delivered for plug-and-play installation.
Implementation
We worked closely with site teams to stage deliveries by tunnel segment. Deluge assemblies and cabinets were pre-packaged, reducing on-site labour requirements.
Benefits / Results
Key take-aways
Pre-fabrication and packaging of complex systems significantly improve tunnel project outcomes. Labelling and staging are essential for zoned works.
Why this project matters for Antec
This project showcases our ability to pre-fabricate and deliver complex systems for tunnel applications, reinforcing our leadership in turnkey fire protection infrastructure.
