Scope
Background
The North East Link is a multibillion-dollar project aiming to connect Melbourne's freeway network. With tunnels spanning multiple kilometres, robust fire protection systems were essential for compliance and safety.
Challenge
The project demanded large-diameter piping with long lead times and strict specifications, delivered in a staged format across multiple years. Coordinating delivery, fabrication, and quality assurance under tight construction schedules posed a significant logistical challenge.
Solution
Antec Fire worked closely with Spark NEL to supply large DN450 and DN300 pipe, along with all associated Victaulic fittings and valves. Custom pipe supports were fabricated to suit the site layout and engineering drawings.
Implementation
Staged supply of components aligned with site program timelines. All fabricated elements were quality checked in-house and coordinated for on-time delivery across multiple tunnel sections.
