Antec Engineering has acquired the Stud Welding operations of Epitech Products including the Australian distribution rights for ArcFix Stud Welding, HBS, Hilbig, AVT Anti-Wearing Technology and Koco.
Despite the effects of the Global Financial Crisis and the resulting business downturn, Antec Engineering has been engaged in a pro-active growth strategy resulting in the recent acquisition of the Asia/Pacific operations of KBS Passive Fire and now the business operations of Epitech Products.
"Rather than "bunker down" during this economic downturn, we made the decision to actively expand our service & product offerings giving us greater opportunities to service our existing customers as well as expand into other complimentary industries. With signs of recovery already visible, Antec is well placed to take advantage of future growth as the opportunities present" states John Clare, Antec's Managing Director.
Epitech Products was established in 1977 as a manufacturer and distributor of industrial fasteners. In 2001 Epitech purchased the Australian stud welding division of Erico Products. The name was changed to Epitech Products to reflect the new business. Epitech now distributes the Arcfix range of stud welding machines and products including Shear Connectors, Arc Studs, CD Pins and Clips and CD studs. In addition to the Arcfix brand Epitech also distribute the Hilbig, Koco, AVT & HBS range of stud welding products from Europe.
The business also manufactures and distributes a range of fastener products for electrical power distribution and the railway industry, into the Australian and New Zealand market. A repair service, by a qualified technician, is available for most brands of stud welding machines.
